I checked and there is no formal TSB on this issue according to my dealer.

Not 100%, but I think the TSB only applies to the 2008's. Last I knew, they didn't have the "updated latches" for the 07's. If you have an 07, I would imagine that is why there isn't a TSB on it. Then again I could be totally full of it.

Mine is an 08. If there is a TSB I would love to know about it. However, from what my dealer says, they looked for a TBS for this issue and did not find one.

What is the "special grease" and where do you put it? I am not taking mine to the dealer if I can fix it myself.

Default Krytox Grease TSB 23-024-08

It's Krytox Grease #05019060AA if I'm reading the TSB right. The copy I have is a poor quality so the part number may not be exactly right.

Regards,
Richard

Default Special Grease = Snake Oil

The Mopar grease is a waste of time as are the new latches.
Save your self the frustration of having to deal with your dealer's crappy service department and apply the electrical tape. I wish that I had done this earlier and saved myself from losing several hours of my life that I will never get back.........

Tape it and move on to the next design flaw.
