Seems to from what I have read. I am going to try it. It only takes a few minutes if it does not.

It will, but for some reason, I think plastic electrical tape will last longer.
No proof, just a suspicion.

My 08 seems to have this problem also, I guess I will also try out the tape bit as it seems to be working for many others.

I got the new latches a about a month or two ago. Stopped the thunking for a while but it recently came back. Put duct tape on the striker the other night, no more thunking.

Doesnt take much tape at all to stop the thunk, I put too much on the first time and the door wouldnt close too easily. One layer of tape is all it takes.

I was told there is a pendulum system for the seat belt tensioner. I have the same prblem with the rattle when going over bumps etc. When I have the seat belt tense, the noise is no longer there. I will asj the dealer to take a look at next appointment. This is what the dealer told me when I raised it.

I had the latches replaced and the thunk went away for a few months. It's back again Time to tape or maybe try liquid plastic on the striker.
