Same here. Also if it's wet from rain.

It's a feature...you mean you didn't see it listed on the build sheet?

That doesn't mean it's not just vapor on other Jeeps.
The only time I've seen vapor, it was not due to a bad radiator cap, but that doesn't mean it's never a bad cap.

I agree it's not going to happen on a dry day, though. It takes moisture in the air for it to happen.

Mine does it on rainy cold days. It's funny because you get the odd person telling you that your jeep must be over heating. I've even gone as far to show the temp. Lol. Just another quirk is right, but don't let that stop you from having a leak check done. Just do a search for steam and you will see the numerous other post on this same topic.

Unfortunately, it is a Jeep thing. I think it has more to do with climate than Jeep, but I get it ALL the time when I hit the car wash. ALL the time. I think the combination of the open grill, fan, and climate (with climate being the biggest factor), it's not uncommon for lots of other Jeep owners to experience this. Not all owners, but lots, due to their local climate.

Mine does it when it rains, freaked the hell out of me one day I was sitting in a drive-thru and it was raining and seen steam coming out slightly from the hood.

It's just steaming mad at being stuck in traffic.

Happens to mine in snow storms, rain storms, or just after washing it. Just water vapor boiling off the rad fins.
