Vaccuum first, for sure.
I would highly recommend NOT spraying down the interior unless you're willing to rip out your carpetting. The reason? The carpets get pretty "moldy smelling" pretty quickly. Trust me - I know - forgot to put the soft top up last week, and my JK got a bath from an overnight rainstorm!

There was an instance a few months back that someone had their top down overnight when it rained. The Jeep did not want to start afterward (until it dried 2 days later). I would not recommend rinsing the interior.
BTW - that image is now my desktop background.

Remove the carpet and spray it out. Works well. I then vacuumed the carpets to get most of the sand out. Then sprayed them also and let air dry in the driveway.
Not sure how much sand you have in yours, but we spent a week at the beach this summer (Corolla, NC - Only sand roads up there) and the Jeep was full of sand. The only way I could get it all out was to wash out the interior. I sprayed down everything including the seats and dash. Did not seem to hurt anything.

Don't spray the dash. Watch the connections under the seats for the air bag weight sensors. pull carpet and plugs and rinse out. You will have no problems.
That is an amazing photograph.

Thanks for all the compliments my friend took the pic for me I have a couple others, he added some lighting and what not to it and another one. I have the carpet out of the jeep no except for the very back area. Damn top leaked on its truck ride from Cali to Texas. Im gonna get a spray in done when I get some money. I rinsed the center console and floors to seats but was scared to do most of the dash. I think ill take it somewhere and have them detail it.
If any one cares I have alot more pics on my myspace of the jeep.
