Question for those people running Harley mirrors for doorless days
I am pretty sure that several people here have been running the simple black long stem mirrors
h t t p://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_main.jsp?locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US
Search for part # 91910-90A (left side) or 91909-90A (right side)
Is anyone running the short stem black tapered mirrors?
h t t p://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_main.jsp?locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US
Search for part # 92023-03A and then choose any of the links
If so, how does the passenger side work out with it being tighter into the side of the Jeep and sitting lower than stock...does it impact the view from that side?
I am thinking that having the mirrors tighter to the body would be nice, and the cost is not that much more, but also still want a decent view out the passenger side.

With the long arm the passenger side still requires the driver to lean to see it. Pulling it in tighter would make it just about useless in mu opinion. I never really considered the long arms as sticking that far out, it's the height difference that took some time to get used to.

I'm running the long stem's as pictured and lose about 1/2 of the passenger mirror to the A/C dash bulge. A little head lean and 2/3's of the passenger mirror is usable. Haven't tried the short stems as pictured, I do prefer the style, but my guess is the passenger side would be basically hidden unless it would sneak in under the A/C bulge. I should admit looking at the web catalog I almost bought the shorts based solely on looks but ended up getting the longs just because that is what I had seen posted here. Driver side would be no problem either style. I do like mine though.

I have the long stemmed ones, but the mirrors are quite small by comparison, plus, the view wasn't too comforting - so I went back to using the Rugged Ridge Relocation bracket.... Now I have 2 practially brand new Harley mirrors collecting dust in the box... Seeing as the long stemmed ones were still not very useful on the passenger side, I can't imagine the shorter ones being worth it.

I had them until I went the RR relo bracket route. The short stem passenger side was worthless on the top hinge. I would use it in the lower hinge, upside down. You have to swap sides and have the drivers side mirror upside down in the upper hinge.
There has to a better mirror option out there.
