Question Question with Soft top windows

When you are putting the soft tops side windows on, what order is it best to go in? I just took the hard top off for the first time and i cant get one thing,

The Piece that goes along the door sils. I cant get them to get in the door all the way up. they fit in about 1/2 way to the top and then stop. its to tight to pull..

Maybe its the order i go in?

Make sure you haven’t completely hooked the top to the frame yet (wait till you are done), start the zipper on top of the window just a few inches, completely insert the side by the door, then completely insert the bottom of the window, then finish zipping the window completely. You can do left or right first - it doesn’t matter.

Are you doing it in the shade/sun, what the temp? The warmer it is and if you can do it in the sun, then you shoudl be able to get it. If it's a little cool and it's the first time you're putting them on, it will take a lot of muscle to get them on, you'd be better off waiting. Also, put the rear window on last. I don;t think having hte rear in and sides out would be much of a concern, but expect a big drop in gas mileage if you drive withit like that for a while. I usually go around with sides and rear out.

Yeah, just work getting the plastic stuff into the slots then work the zipper.

I’ve had just the back off, and all off, never sides off and back on - don’t know why it would be a problem. You’ll see any problems pretty quickly when you take it on the freeway. I saw a JK on the freeway recently where they had the Sunrider open, but no windows off (the rear window is supposed to be off if you have the Sunrider open and going more then 40 mph). You could see the windows were all sucked in!

This link is helpful in seeing what you need to do when lowering and raising your soft top.
