Default Question on Front LCA mounts. (newb)

In my 07 Unlimited i got in a small fender bender and snapped the front LCA mount off. The impact was at less than 15 mph and the crap mount just came apart. would LCA skids help with this issue or should i just replace them on the new 2011 JK.

Thanks
john

No, a Skid plate only protects objects like rocks hitting it. It doesn't actually make it stronger.

If the LCA Mount came off then I would assume a 4x4 shop will need to weld on another mount.

Default thanks

Will just replace the OEM mounts then add the skids.

The LCA mounts were replaced with good mounts (aftermarket). They were very thick steel compared to the OEM mounts. Dealership fix was a complete front end replacement.

Thanks
John
