Default Question about Soft Top

Hello!

I bought a new Bestop Sail cloth top for my Jeep last summer. It's installed correctly over the original hardware, but I'm having some trouble with water... Whenever it rains (And I'm getting concerned after getting 10 inches dumped on us because of this tropical storm..), the water collects and sags the top. Like.. A considerable amount. I'm concerned about stretching. Some of the stitching on the sides (Above the driver side door) is coming out. If it collects in the back half, it sags enough that if you sit in the back seat the top can touch the top of your head.

Any ideas on what I can do, or if anyone has had a similar problem? In a perfect world, I'd have a garage... But, yanno. I'm a broke college student.

Never get any real rain out here so I have no experience with these, but the idea seams sound.

that much sag just aint right. i have a factory rag top and it is much more taught between the bar and the header. rain sheds normally and doesnt pool. i suspect that where the top is attached to the header isnt quite rigth.

My factory top was also WAY tighter. I'll look into it, but I'm pretty sure that everything is installed correctly. I wonder if it's just the material? It still doesn't seem right. It stretches a ton, but then seems to go back to where it should be after it dries out. I'm just really concerned with the weight of the water.

As I'm typing this, the sky opened up and is dumping buckets. Stupid Debby.

That's probably what I'm going to have to do. I just wish I didn't.

I can't tell if U have door surrounds... Does bestop soft tops slide into the door surrounds like on the factory ones? Maybe that will pull it tighter if.. That looks horrible..
