Default Put soft top down. Does this look right?

I put the soft top down today for the first time. Does it look right? Should it be able to go down even farther?

What about using the Velcro straps to attach the ends? I don't see where they would attach to the Jeep. I get the feeling the whole thing is going to open into a parachute while driving.

It should definitely go down farther than that. Looks like it needs to be folded better and tucked

Make sure the fabric is not bunched up or getting pinched in the bars. Then use the Velcro straps to go around the bars. One strap on each side. They just help keep it from bouncing around.

No, you didnt fold it enough times. Pull it back up and do it again. Looks like you have at least two more folds in there. It really will fold basically flat when you do it right. After the first few times of doing it correctly, it will kind of get a memory and be somewhat easier.

It's because you aren't pulling the fabric to the rear when folding it over during that first fold. When you flip the sunrider top to the back, you have to pull all the fabric to the rear forming a "w" that points to the rear of the vehicle before dropping it the rest of the way.

Lift the top back up to the first position where it locks in just to the rear of the driver's seat at the roofline, and then partially lift the top towards the next position as if you were going to completely close it and pull all that fabric out from between the bars.

Don't rush it. Take your time and fold it nice. Makes a big difference. No Velcro straps needed. They are for using the Sunrider option.

In your picture the "big flap" hanging off the back should fold inward toward the front of the Jeep. You'll be looking pro in no time.

Thanks. I'll re-try this as soon as it stops raining tomorrow.

I fold mine over using the correct W on the forst fold, and it doesn't go down much farther than that. The 2013 premium top is very thick - anyone with the new top get it down flat?

I got my JK last thursday and did the same thing. I thought it looked funny too. I shall try again when it stops raining.
