Power Steering Fluid Help
I am getting supplies together to flush my 13 JKU power steering system and was told to only use Mopar Power Steering +4
Went to the dealer , who says they dont carry the Power Steering +4 , but their computer says ATF + 4 is OK if the Power Steering Fluid is NA.
BTW, the Power Steering +4 is clear, ATF +4 is of course red.
My fluid is pink which led me to believe I got water in the system- now I think maybe previous owner topped off the stock clear with some ATF
Sooo.. Is there any reason to not just use ATF +4? Parts guy at local store said they are NOT the same fluids...
Thanks!!

This is from the 2013 Owner's Manual:
Power Steering Reservoir
We recommend you use MOPAR® Power Steering Fluid +4,
MOPAR® ATF+4® Automatic Transmission Fluid.
This is from the 2012 factory service manual:
Mopar Power Steering Fluid +4*
* If MOPAR Power Steering Fluid +4 is not available, then MOPAR ATF +4 Automatic Transmission Fluid is acceptable.
To address what the parts guy told you, this is from the 2008 factory service manual:
Mopar® Power Steering Fluid + 4 or Mopar® ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid is to be used in the power steering system. Both Fluids have the same material standard specifications (MS-9602).
