I am and will always be a fan of Wendy as we all should be ! thanks Windy for all your help and effort !

I had to laugh at this:

you know what the Chinese word for constipation is ( Hung Chow ) kidding of course.

Now the truth as I see it:

The masses are being pigeon hole into buying a new vehicle every five years or so, depending on miles driven.

Reason: from materials used to design concept not only the penastar's open deck block to it's head (constipation) problems, these engines wont see 200,000 mi without major cost.

Chrysler is not the only one, all the major brands are doing this.

So get ready for the world order of recycling, and its been this way for a few year's now.

So for me investing in the future, it will be recycling.

Vehicles went down hill, when they got rid of the wing window !

Thanks Willys! Now I feel appreciated today.

And thank you Roy for the constipation image (Hung Chow), I will never think of the Pentastar tick the same again!

Ahh, wing windows. My Mom still has her 1969 Chevy shortbed stepside with the wing windows. I learned to drive on that thing. Man, you had to STAND on those brakes to get that truck to stop. She still drives it to work.

There IS an awful lot of plastic on these engines. How long could that last? Is the intake manifold really plastic? That's a major part of the engine that I hope will last. I had my 1993 YJ for almost 20 years before I traded it in for my JK12. I hope I'll get 20 years out of this one too!

I love my '12 JKUR, but the reality is that my husband wants a new Jeep about every 3 years. You can see that from my signature line. So, I'll wait for the new body of the 2015's to come out and then bad-mouth it like I did the '07 JK's. Then start to like it and buy one 1.5 years later. Not that I'm predictable or anything.

Composite. And I wouldn't want any intake manifold to be anything other than that. I have a '99 Trans Am with a LS1 that has a composite, my last Mustang GT 2010 had a composite, and I don't know of many(if any) autos with metal these days. The true benefits is heat reduction. The last place you want a giant heat sink is on the air transport. So I guess I kinda of take that back, the only metal you want is a inner cooler, but a slab a metal sitting on top of the engine directing air is a bad idea.

So, you mean my Jk doesn't need prunes? See...another Joke.

Honestly I didn't see who posted the question, I just saw any question that I could answer. I was kind of proud of myself at the time. Thanks for taking that away from me.

Roy, seeing how you find this info on the net so good

Could you find out which way the coolant flow is on the 3.6

The new method for some engines is from the rad through the thermostat housing to cool the heads first instead of the block.

Is it this way for the penastar ?

Hope you get my drift
