Bummer. Good luck to you.

Mine is April 2012.

I've been listening closely but all I hear is normal valvetrain chatter right now.

My tick started at 1200km by 2800km it was twice as loud. It's on the left side and you can feel it when you touch the head when it's running and it's noticeably louder than the right side definitely more than normal valve train, injector, timing chain noise. I know a motor is going to make noise.

Default F*@% Chrysler!

Add me to the list. CEL then took it in. First the dealership tried "updating the computer". Killed the computer and had to wait 3 days to get it replaced. I was told there was a cylinder misfire in cylinder 6 they thought it was because of the computer.

Two days later CEL again this time dealerships states it IS an engine problem and will need the head replaced which won't happen for another 2 weeks.

I spoke to the service manager he stated "don't let anyone at Jeep tell you different, there ARE problems with the 3.6. We have had to replace cylinder heads on this engine already and sometimes that does not solve the problem." One person needed their crankshaft replaced which they were unable to located a replacement part for. Now the entire engine has to be replaced.

As soon as I get this thing back, Im offloading it before the warranty expires.

I'm leaving Jeep for good, and never looking back

Update: Chrysler has instructed the dealer to do something, I don't know what, all they said at the dealer was it will involve tearing into the engine.

I am a 40 year old man and I just went to the bathroom and vomitted.

YOu see I had a 2012 Grand Cherokee that was having some remote start and other elctrical issues and LOL (not really laughing) trim issues. I was so disgusted with it I went and traded it even last Saturday for a 2012 Sahara. It was a 38000 Grand Cherokee traded for a 2012 29000 Sahara in black with the saddle interior just like I wanted. I was so sick of dealing with Chrysler but I just had to have another Jeep. And I took a massive hit to trade... even....... even.

1000 miles on it the TPMS telltale came on for 200 miles today. (the one that says its not working not the low tire indicator). so I came to this forum to find if this was common.. And I find this.....

Went outside with a flashlight Buildate 12-11..

I had suspected it before, but I know for sure now God Genuinely hates me.....

First, take a breath.

Second, welcome to the forum!

Third, I hope the TPMS issue gets resolved quickly and effortlessly.

Fourth, go out and enjoy your jeep!
