possible problems with some 3.6 pentastar engines

Well after dropping off my Jeep Monday evening to get the "tick" resolved they called me today. They replaced all the lifters and guess what? The "tick" is still there... so they ordered the right side cylinder head after talking to Chrysler. They told to pick up the Jeep as it will be a week or two till the head comes in.
So the saga continues, but at least I didn't have to battle with the dealership to do the right thing. Not happy to have major engine work at 7K miles

Got mine back today with the lifters being replaced. (5,500 miles). Service advisor said the lifters looked really beat up. Not sure how this is the case but the Tic seems to be more profound at this point and is now coming from both sides of the motor. Service advisor said it sounded way better then it did. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. Going to have my friend listen to it tomorrow to make sure I'm not loosing my mind.

Found this in another forum:
"Ok asked some questions today regarding the left cylinder head on pentastar engines today in chrysler update training. Apparently the exhaust manifold being made into the head is generating more heat then expected and is cause the problem with the exhuast valves on cylinder # 2. And when I asked if the heads we are putting on are the same heads we are having problems with the answer was most likely yes and in another 10- 20k miles we will probably be putting another one on."
Interesting, if this turns out to be true looks like we'll all be going back for another head eventually...
Again, this has not been officially confirmed but the more I think about it , the more it makes sense, since the integrated exhaust manifold in the head is something new on the Pentastars
