possible problems with some 3.6 pentastar engines

Well the saga continues...
Called dealer to check on status of repair and said should be ready by 5:00 today so they sent shuttle service to pick me up and barely got out of my driveway when the SA calls back and says they're having problems...technician was ready to fire it up and test drive but said its making all kinds of noises, duh!! $&@:"
Gonna have to wait it out til I hear what the hell is wrong with my Jeep :(
Off to the liquor store, it's Friday, nice day, gonna jump on my V-twin and go for a ride, enough is enough!

I have a 2007 jk wrangler Sahara unlimited and for the past year my brakes make a scratching noise when I press them. I took it to two dealers and paid close to 3000 and still making the noise. I've had my rakes replaced and many other things done. It's a weird noise kinda like a ticking, I you know what I mean. Anyone else having this problem with their 4dr wrangler?

I just watched some videos... I don't think mine is doing that, will definitely pay more attention. Now that I think about it... I believe my 2011 was doing that... I know it's not the pentajesus, but I do remember arguing with the dealership about an annoying tick that they kept saying was normal.
Anyone have an annoying 2-3 second tick on startup of your 2012?

I'd sure hope that 2012 built within the last few weeks would have perfect heads. Surely Chrysler has been aware enough of the problem for months to have corrected it.

However we all know how Chrysler kept fitting, and supplying as spares, faultly throwout bearings and badly designed clutch forks back in the first couple of years of the JK's production run in order to use them all up. They were doing this long after they were made aware of the problems with these and had redesigned the components to address the issue (clutch forks were originally too short to do the job apparantly, causing the substandard-quality T/O bearings to fail early and squeal like Ned Beaty in Deliverence).
So your T/O bearing would fail and would be replaced along with the clutch fork under warranty with another set of bad ones which would then go on to fail again in no time. Some people went through 3 or 4 before they finally got the upgraded parts fitted once the stock of the old ones had been completely exhausted from Chrysler's spare parts store.
