Just have patience, warranties are good. Hopefully this is the last post on this thread (fingers crossed)
Maybe you could be so kind as to post your work order. (Seeing is believing)

Cheers

Yeah, we get it. No need to come in here and call everyone liars and make multiple posts demanding work orders.

It is obvious that Jeep/Chrysler knows which vehicles got the bad heads based on VIN numbers which identifies build dates...
When I brought mine in and mentioned the ticking/bad head issues reported by other owners they told me mine was on "restricted" status and they had to follow STAR procedures and Chrysler has to approve the head replacement, only after the ECM flash, lifter replacement, etc...

So Monday they will start the "real fix" to replace my left cylinder head, hopefully this will be the end of the problem once and for all

My dealership probably doesn't do a whole lot of volume in wranglers. I dropped by there today to see if my VIN was listed as restricted. They couldn't find any indication of it and also stated that they never heard of the head issue. I guess I'll see what they say on Monday when I drop it off to them. My build date is 8/11 and the ticking can be heard at more than 3 feet away.

Default all quiet on the eastern front

Purchased my '12 Rubicon last August and have no issues so far...9500miles, some of which were 9hr/80mph straight drives. I do get a "morning dove" cooing sound from my brakes upon stopping and starting out...subtle, but wasn't there when new?? Weird, maybe the pads holding up a little after they get warm.

I didn't call anyone a liar, what don't you understand?

And I haven't demanded anything, I only made a simple requested. (wow) Sorry if it offended you.

Does this help?
Top is warranty work, bottom is oil change.

Hang in there! I made a post before in this thread or another one the forum that I went to more than one dealer for the ticking. Finally got lucky at one dealership because the Tech said he had replace SEVERAL heads on other 3.6 Vehicles for the same thing BUT mine was the FIRST wrangler to have this issue at their dealership. I did not have a restricted VIN or anything else. Keep in mind the other dealerships told me the ticking was NORMAL, which obviously it was not. It took 5 weeks for my head to get replaced because of a national back order of the heads. Chrysler knows there are some issues with the heads of the 3.6 NOT just with Wranglers. I am sure there are dealers that Have NOT incountered any 3.6 head issues because they have not been affected with a faulty head or the customers think the ticking is normal and have not complained.

I will gladly send you a copy of my work order as I have for a couple of other forum members if it helps you get yours fixed like it did for another forum member.

Just let me know and send me a PM if interested.

Once again, hang in there!

~PEACE~

Thank you for posting your invoice. This gives me warrant to deal with the ticking problem that I suspect I already have.

I apologize to everyone for being so adamant in my request, but I didn’t want to go into the dealer unprepared.

I traded in a perfectly good 350Z for my JK sport S. I can’t express how disappointed I am discovering this problem with the Pentastar 3.6
I just hate the though of someone tearing apart a brand new engine.

I’m also pissed that I didn’t wait for the 2013, and keep my Z for another summer.

Now I’m caught up with the decision whether to trade in my 2012 for a 2013.

Anyhow it’s time to deal with Chrysler again or maybe sway over to Ford.
I still love my JK.

Cheers
