I am going to try this, but I plan on using a paint made specifically for plastic, like Krylon Fusion or Duplicolor vinyl paint. Too cold for me to try it now.

Off ! Wouldn't be a big issue ! ... I'm considering this but since my jk is white . It doesn't bother me as bad maybe ?
