Default Which option group on the 2013 includes wheel mounted audio controls?

Hey all,

I'm in the process of ordering myself a 2013 JK Sahara Unlimited. Which group carries the steering wheel mounted controls? Also, are the heated seats any good? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't researched the 2013 options. However, my 2012 has the connectivity group which has the steering wheel controls and the USB connector in the center console for the iPod hookup. It also has the EVIC. Since you are ordering, what gears you looking for. Lots of posts about that. I strongly recommend the 3.73.

I am a straight up newbie to Jeeps, I saw the option for the gears, what benefit will that give me over the stock option?

Do a search 3.21 vs 3.73. Threads come up here all the time on this. 3.73 has many advantages. The 3.21 basically helps jeep make some minimum performance standards regarding gas mileage. The 3.73 will make it feel like you have more power and the difference in MPG will be barely noticeable. If you have any thoughts of ever towing then the 3.73 is a must have option. If you ever want to go bigger in tires then the 3.73 is a must have option. If you are getting a manual trans and actually want 6th gear to be effective then The 3.73 is a must have option. Of course this is my opinion. Many others on here agree with this. Some will disagree, though I think the majority of those are people who got the 3.21 without putting thought into it and are now justifying themselves.

Man thanks for enlightening me on this. I do plan on upgrading to some larger tires down the road. Thank you.

Why Sahara? Since I was custom ordering mine I opted to go with the sport, then only added the options I wanted. For me personally the cost of the Sahara did not give me options that were important to me.

The steering wheel controls are fantastic. As for the heated seats, I opted against them even though my wife was pushing me to get them. No worries though because the heat in this thing is ridiculously hot. Seriously, if you close all but one vent it is just as hot as a hair dryer. No exaggeration.
