I agree with you when comparing synthetic to dyno oil. But when comparing apples to apples, the numbers should be close enough to be reliable. If they were not, there would be liabiliyt issues to deal with.
The manufacturers know alot more about what is required for their engines than we do. Stay with the manufacturers specifications.
