Default Oil change/tire pressure sensor.

Have a 2012. I have been changing my own oil since the day I drove it off the dealership lot. I changed it again last week, and after a few day the "oil change required" message pops up right when I start it. This is the first time in 6 oil changes it's happened. Has anyone ran into this? Is there a way to reset it?

I have the same problem with my tire pressure sensor. It had been a frigidly cold winter and I think that's what tripped the sensor. Is there a way to reset this as well? I scrolled through the menu options on the steering wheel, but with no luck.

The way to turn off the oil change message is to turn the key to on without starting the vehicle. Then press the throttle pedal all the way to the floor and release 3 times within like 5-10 seconds.

Firsts check that your tire is fully inflated and driving around for a bit will shut the light off. If it doesn't go out put a pound or two of extra air in it. That worked for me.

My TPMS light is on right now. I have filled the tires a couple of times but with this cold it keeps coming on. Checked the tire pressure and all were at about 32, which will trip the light, I need 35 for the light to go out. I am just waiting for warmer weather.

I know the dealership is able to reset it, but I hate going there. I'm hoping by spring I can get it to go off. I'm running 34 lbs on 33in tires. That higher than I'd want them as it is. I'm sure theres some funny code and dance you have to do to get it to go off, like it is with the oil indicator and seatbelt chime. Maybe you have to pull up your ebreak, roll down a window, put your foot on the throttle and scratch your ass. Maybe that will work.

You cannot lower the pressure threshold on your own without the aid of a tuner. The dealer will not lower the threshold either as it's illegal. They can air your tires up then bleed the air down to the proper level to turn the light off but lowering the pressure (cold air or manually) will again trip the light.
