Oil change through the dipstick
Can you drain the engine oil from your JK through the dipstick location with an oil extractor?
I know that some engines have to be done this way. It's a lot less likely to drop oil in the driveway.

I bought an oil extractor to do my wifes Toyo so I wouldn't need to get it up on ramps. It came with 2 sizes of plastic hoses. Neither one will work in the JK. There must be some weird sharp turn before the dip stick tube enters the oil pan. Let me know if you are successful.

You are much better off draining thru the drain in the pan. This allows any sediment to run out thru the drain hole and you can clean off the magnet on the drain plug and make sure there is no excessive wear.

I use an oil extractor through the dip stick tube.
The first time I used it, I pulled the drain plug after to see if it got all the oil.
Not a single additional drop cam out.
I'm not worried about sediment because I do it right after shutting the engine off, after a trip. Any particals are still in suspension. Hot oil is much easier to extract.
Every once in a while I'll pull the plug and drain, just to cover all bases.
I prefer to use the oil extractor.
The one I have is the 6.5 liter version (the tall one) made by Pella.
I don't know how much they are now, but a few years ago I bought mine for around $35.
