Hey guys I have a question. I know this will get a lot of different responses. I have a 2015 JKU sport. I bought it back in April. I got to 5k miles in August. I had no warnings to get my oil changed. I know the manual says the jeep will tell you with its sensors. But at 5k it just seemed weird. I took it in to get its service and tire rotation. I am now at 8200 miles and I am getting a change oil indicator. Is it as simple as the dealer didn't reset it? Is the second oil change worse then the first set of oil I had in the jeep? Any ideas would be great.

Most likely the dealer did not reset the indicator. Do you have the EVIC in your cluster? That will give you oil life in percentage.

I change mine every 3K. Out of old habit.

You can also check to see if it looks dirty. If new it will still be pretty clear. 8k will be closer to black.

They likely did not reset the warning. I change my own every 5,000, if I don't reset it it goes off between 8,000 and 9,500. Usually a couple of weeks before I am getting ready to do the next oil change.

Yep ^

On the older ones you have to do the 'happy foot' dance, I guess from what everyone says, you can do it through the dash display on the newer ones.
