why do you change your oil ever 500 miles?

Who? Me? I did the first oil change at 1000 miles, like everyone should IMO, and the second at 4000 miles. I'll do the next one at 7000 miles and then switch to synthetic and go to 5000 mile intervals.

Wow. I just got 2580 miles on the odometer and the change oil came on when I cranked up. Then it didnt come on for another 100 miles. I wonder why they dont fix these things before they sell'em. I got my 09 on the last day of Feb!

mine comes on every 5000 km regardless of of what the milage was when it was reset so i dont think it has anything to do with cycles or how it is driven but who knows chrysler has to try and make a buck some how.

Mine has never come on and I'm around 12000 miles.
