Default not your typical tire question.

I did search for about an hour before posting to avoid being "that guy" no luck so heres my question:

Illinois is predicted to get pimp slapped with some bad winter weather this week and I am running stock 17's with stock goodyear wrangler sra's that have about 60k miles on em 20 - 30 % tread left. I also have the stock 16 steelies with brand new tires in my garage so do I keep the wider sra's on or would I be better off running the 16 pizza cutters for this? I'm looking for advice and thanks in advance.

A skinnier tire with good tread will do a hell of a lot better in the snow than wider worn out tires.

lol, No thankfully thats not my jeep. I can relate to who ever owned that jeep though, we appear to have the same luck.

All jokes aside though, i would be curious to hear from anybody thats run those pizza cutters in bad winter conditions or knows someone who has. If there complete fail in snow ill crack the piggy bank or sell the lift kit I havent found the time to install and get a set of duratracs but i was hoping not to have to.

Im near Naperville now if i decide to sell the lift for tires would you have any interest? I see you have a 2.5 lift on your wish list is why i ask.
