Not Starting
I made a rookie mistake tonight. I was trying to jump another car and I was rushing and wasn't paying enough attention and had the cables crossed (Jeep was backwards and other car was correct). Can't believe I did it, but I did? I don't have a manual so I'm not sure which fuse is which and which relay is which. I would think I popped a fuse. When I turn the key I here a click, but no start. The battery has 12V. I haven't got the test light out yet to start checking that way. Thought someone on here might know right off the bat which fuse I popped and it's location. Anyone??

Fuse diagram should be on the inside of the fusebox cover.
How long were they crossed? A friend of mine did this on an old Tacoma (I think it was a Taco), and it torched the ECU. I know of someone else who damaged their wiring harness.
On the other hand, I did it once for a split second and nothing ever came of it. I think for most other vehicles, the battery positioning is reversed. Haha.
I think any one (or more) of those fuses could have been fried.
The first ones that come to mind are the starter solenoid (green 40 AMP) near your 7:30 (with 12:00 facing the firewall) or the ignition switch (red 10amp) at 3:00. Although you're hearing clicking? Are you sure it isn't just that you murdered your battery?
I'm not sure which one is the computer to tell the truth.
No smells of burning electrical components?

Went back outside to mess with it. Jumped it and it started right up. So, either the battery was fried or it was low to begin with. Last I drove it was Friday morning. It's been in the garage since. Maybe a coincidence that is was going anyways, or maybe I fried it. Guess I'll find out tomorrow as I'm going to put the charger on it tonight. Thanks for the responses guys.
