Non-D44 Axle Questions
Dumb questions, but...
Is the D35 better/stronger than the D30 front axle?
How do I know if I have open differentials or lsd, and does this apply to both axles?
I have a D35 front, and a D44 rear w/ 4.10 gears, manual tranny, no tow package...if this helps.

Know its not stronger than a 30 front. The Dana 35 is one of the most notoriously bad axles and there is no such thing as a dana 35 front end in a jeep.
Only Bronco 2 had a 35 TTB front axle.
you would only have a LSD in the rear.

Oops, I don't have a 35 in the front, it's a D30. I checked my post in this thread:

So, the rear is LSD and the front is open, unless lockers are stated?

the LSD is an option. if you dont have the tow package i bet you dont have it. but you might. I have 4:10 and no tow package and dont have LSD.
look on you window sticker. it will say if you have one. if not there there will be a warning sticker somewhere saying it has one if it dose.
