No start or crank after jump start
What's up everyone? Haven't been around here in a very long time, but am hoping someone can help me. Having issues with my 2013 JKU 6mt.
At the end of December I was attempting to jump start my Jeep as it hadn't been driven in a while. After doing so, it started, ran for a few seconds then died. Turned over a few more times, then died completely and refused to turn over. Ran and got a new battery, same thing, no crank. Trying to track down the problem, but here's what I know:
Starter is good (put 12 volts on pin 85 of the starter relay and it turned over)
Battery is new.
Lights and everything else work.
Fuse J17 is good.
I cleaned 4 grounds in the engine bay. They seemed fine, but I cleaned them anyway.
Starter relay clicks when turning over the ignition.
Tried spare key, no difference.
Any ideas on what the hell else I should check?

I know you say your starter is good, but I had an issue with my 2012 where it seemed to be a bad connection to the battery or a bad battery. It turned out to be the starter getting hung up. A new starter was installed and the problem was fixed.

But if I remove the starter relay and apply 12 volts to pin 85 of that relay, the starter runs. I would assume that indicates a good starter, right?

If she won't turn over at all, did you check the basic items above, starter and voltage to the starter? I would make sure the grounds are all clean and tight especially for the starter. Even if the starter turns over when not in the jeep it takes a lot to turn the engine over and you could still have a bad starter or loose grounds. Did this problem start with a jump start as well? Do you hear a click or anything when trying to start the engine? Not knowing the situation one question would be can the engine mechanically turn over? Just some thought.
