Default New oil filter location

I have a new 2013 Rubicon Unlimited. I just changed the oil for the first time at about 1000 miles. I have to say, I really like the oil filter location. No Drip!!!! That was very easy to access and no mess. I would prefer a $5.00 filter instead of $14.00, but what ya gonna do?

Love the new location as well. Where are you getting the filter at? At my dealership, the Mopar filter sells for $5+

I assumed the dealership would be the highest. I bought a Fram from Auto Zone.

The only issue I ever had with Fram was many year ago, the filter gasket remained stuck to the engine. Not knowing that, I screwed the new filter right on top of the old gasket. After filling with oil, I started the car and instantly heard a strange sound. I shut the car off and discovered what appeared to be most of the oil I had just put in poured out on my garage floor. Apparently two gaskets are not better than one! It has never happened again, but you can be sure, I always check for the gasket.
