We have driven our 4 door Rubi since October with the hard top on it. Spent 2 weeks on vacation on and off road. We never had to raise our voices to have a conversation. I am very pleased with the hardtop.

if your driving 50 miles to and from work every day you've gotta have a hard top.

the hard top is surprisingly quiet....normal conversation can be had and you can definitely hear the radio fine....i have the sound package in mine though with the better infinity speakers/sub so i know that makes a difference....i have been in a JK with the stock radio/speakers and they are pretty terrible....i can actually hear my radio with the top off cruising down the road if its turned up to 35 or so.....not a prayer of that with the stock speakers

Default Hardtop vs. Softtop noise

I was curious about the same thing. I went to the dealer and drove a sahari with the hard top on it and then drove a Rubicon with a soft top to compare. I honestly couldn't tell that much difference in the two as far as top noise is concerned.

I could tell that the Rubi had more the more agressive treads as it's tires created more noise and seemed a little more stiffer I'm assuming because of the upgraded suspension.
