New gears?
Hey guys, newbie here. I'll be doing a lift kit soon with 35" tires. I was looking at a parts catalog and it said to upgrade the gears. What gears do I have now and what do I need to buy?! I have a 2013 wrangler 2dr.
Thanks, John

What model did you go with? Check out you're build sheet if you want to be sure, but the '13s have 4.10 in the rubicon manuals, 3.73 for everything else manual, and 3.21 for all the autos except the rubicons which I think is 3.73

It isn't the greatest on the highway for gas bit I'm still around 18 MPGs and can use 6th gear again. I've got a heavy rig for a 2 dr, about 310lbs on back with the bumper and wheel and 220 out front with the bumper and winch plus 3" lift and no air dam so I'm pretty happy with the mileage I get.
I really think 4.88 is where a manual JK with a 3.6 on 35's should be but if it doesn't do much crawling and you want to save gas the 4.10 to 4.56 range is more practical.
