New CB Radio

I mounted my antenna on the license plate frame. Took me and my bro a while to fish the wire down where the plate light wires are. We also had to drill the license plate frame a bit so everything would fit nicely. But overall it is a very clean install and I've had no further troubles with it.

the higher the watts the more power your cb transmitts with. the government only allows a certain amount of watts but you can take it to a cb guy and he can "peak" it for you

Cb-s only have 4watts of output power (sent to the antenna). From what I've learned you want to match your Antenna to the cable and try to get the same Ohm rating (resistance) and that will help when you tune your system to get the lowest SWR rating < 2.0.
I'm not a crazy CB user so i bought the Midland 75-822 which is a self contained unit like the Cobra 75 however this is also portable where you can swap out the bottom and use it as a portable handheld.

also the tereflex cb mount ($30) bolts onto the passenger side of the tire mount. This is nice cause right below that location, as most know, there is a rubber grommit in the tailgate that is convient to snake the cb wire throught the tail for a clean install.
The mount puts 2' above the roof on a 4' antenna.
