I need the MOPAR oil filter model number for the JK. Have not been able to find it and would like to know if for no other reason than to have it. Thanks.

Just fyi, I'm pretty sure the mopar filter is just a repackaged Purolator.

Also, Ballsack, TN wouldn't happen to be in upper east TN would it?

You should check Wal-Mart, too. I was surprised to see Mopar filters at my local Wal-Mart the last time I stopped to buy oil. I didn't check closely enough to make sure that they had the correct filter for the JK, but it might be worth a look. I don't have the exact filter number on me right now, but I can check later if nobody else responds with it.

Yes, it would. Same town as you have listed.

I was going to check Walmart for the filter. They have several different Mopar filters on the shelf, but no book or legend for what goes with what. Figure I'm going to go with the Mopar filter for when the motor implodes due to dry starts. I've tried 3 different brands of filters and they all give me dry starts within a month.

I understand. I'm just looking down the road when it's time to deal with the dealership on engine replacement. Might be tougher for them to say it was the filter I used if I'm using the Mopar make. Maybe, maybe not.

Does anyone know if the MOPAR Oil Filter for the 3.8L jeep jk's have been updated?

The dealership claims it is called 0FE00213. Can anyone confirm? Can't find anything online.

Thanks
