Default Need to know how to raise passenger seat.

She wants me to raise the passenger seat on my 2- door wangler, as she don't looking at the dash. She currently sits on a pillow when riding with. I am looking for suggestions as how to raise it about 1 1/2 inches for her.

It would be technically easy to get longer bolts and a spacer but you may have trouble getting anyone (like a fabricator) to do it for you. It would be a huge liability.

there might be airbag issues, too.

Have you already adjusted it all the way up? If it's all the way up and "she" still can't see over the dash, you may need to re-evaluate her ability to legally ride in the front of a vehicle. The air bag may be more of a danger than a savior here.

Yeah, actually raising the seat with spacers seems like a bad idea. Maybe an automotive upholstery shop could add some thicker/denser padding to the bottom cushion?

Yeah, maybe "she" should ride in a car seat in the back...

I don't believe the passenger seat is height adjustable.

x2. I thought that the driver's side was the only one that comes adjustable. (Other than the "stack of washers" method, of course.)

Default Probably the safest solution

but certainly not the least expensive would be to purchase another height adjustable drivers seat and make it work in place of the non adjustable passenger seat.

Just how tall is "she?" The airbag is a tremendous safety concern if she is shorter than 5'.

I got four hockey pucks, drilled em, got one inch longer grade 8 class bolts and raised the driver side that way. The hockey pucks give as much contact area to the seat rails as bolting them to the floor does. Worked great, is solid and the view is much better. I am 6 foot tall but the X I got had no vertical adjustment on the seat.

Thanks for the inputs.

I think I will look into using the hockey pucks.
