I think it was a 8 mm bolt, unthread and just pull the plug up off to the side. That was the easy part of that side.
I really wish I had a cutting torch to burn out the rubber section.

That's good to know. I wasn't sure if there was enough extra wire inside the diff on that plug to allow it to get out of the way of the work area.
