So I think im going to have to call rough country. Not saying its their fault but almost every control arm bushing is bad. Well I think so. I just regressed all of them cause it's been about two months since I've done so. I pushed on the tire ams you can see/hear both upper and lower control arm shifting back and then forward. The axle should rotate on that joint not move back and forth correct!? I dunno how in 10k miles they could all be worn. It doesnt get wheeled (yet) and doesn't get driven hard. Most big bumps get avoided and I slow down on the long torn up roads. Its rode really bad since I got it at 6k. Which is why I changed shocks and springs.

Any ideas? Any recommendations on control arm joint replacements?

Really I can feel like the front end is shimming back and forth, so I'm going through and replacing all the bushings, control arm- track arm bolts, ball joints and even the shocks.

I recently bought stock bushings from quadratec for the front axle upper arms.
Think total was 25$.
Going to replace them soon.
My only problem I see is the locker plug goes into the diff right where the bushing will be pressed out.

Both of my local parts stores carry upper axle-side control arm bushings. Pretty cheap too.

I just bought all new oem bushings and flex joint rebuilds from rough country. Super happy with only 11k miles on the current joints and bushings.

Actually 11k on the whole jeep.

Nice

What were the symptoms with the old joints?

My JK has a 'lot' more miles than that, and I'm fighting weird front end issues.

Don't know but nothing about the flex joints are tight. You can literally shift the axle by pushing on the tire. Which I think wore out the front upper axle bushings

I also spoke with rough country which said it wasnt abnormal for that joint to fail with only 11k miles. They did actually say they had new flex heim joints that were stronger and less prone to wearing out. I guess he meant less prone to wearing so fast. ITS GONNA WEAR OUT. Its not bad if they go every 30-40k at $15 per control arm. Every 11k I think im find the nearest controlled fire and try to make the jeep blend in.
