Default My jeep dont like 2nd gear

I have noticed that when it is below freezing it is hard to go into 2nd gear, all other gears are fine. After I have been driving for a few minutes its ok. Any body have this problem?

Very common problem. Goes away when tranny (not engine) warms up--which can happen after a short run when parked as heat moves from engine back. If your parking brake works or you're sure Jeep won't roll, put the tranny in first gear and the transfer case in neutral while your Jeep warms up, you scrape ice, etc..

Lower gears are always harder to shift into when cold especially on heavier duty truck boxes. Not a problem.

Yupp its the 1st to 2nd shift. If you put straight into 2nd no issue, its when cold 1st to 2nd is rough. Read a great expiation one time after searching about it(don't remember where) but he explained its because of the triple cone design in our trannys that when cold going from 1st to second the tranny dosent fully disengage the clutch or something that that. But anyways I have a 13" rubicon and it does the same thing when cold so I wouldn't worry about it, and I don't think theres really anything that can be done if you want to drive the 6 speed.

This is very common. The best solution I've found is to shift into 2nd at a very low RPM, like around 1000-1500. The "stutter" is considerably less noticeable.

Default Yup!

They all do it! I just moved from a 2013 auto Sahara to a 2014 six speed Rubicon, and I will take the roughness of the manual in the cold vs. the rough shift of the auto!
