My first jeep - basic 4x4 questions

When traction is lost, on or offroad, power will be distributed to both wheels. Only under loose traction situations (i.e. rain, dirt, sand, burnout). I have read, however, that 2 clicks up on the ebrake and the LSD will put power to both rear wheels.

This is what makes my head spin (no pun) when considering getting into your world...
"...2 clicks up on the ebrake and the LSD ..." what? I thought only doctors talked like that

This may be something you know, so forgive me if it's redundant, but:
The rear diff in the JK is a Dana44. A Dana44 with a limited slip diff will spin one rear wheel to drive the vehicle 99% of the time. When the drive wheel loses traction, the diff "locks" the opposite wheel and delivers power to it. Thus, you gain a second drive wheel and more traction.
A "locker"
Air - examples: ARB
Electric - examples: Jeep or Detroit
Cable - example: OX
is one step up from the limited slip, except you initiate it - it locks the rear diff to deliver the power equally to each rear wheel.
By pulling up on the ebrake two clicks you add resistance to your drive wheel, thus initiating the limited slip and sending power to the other rear wheel - thus you know how both wheels driving. Which betters your traction and assists you in conquering difficult obstacles.
I would HIGHLY suggest attending any of the newbie runs that Project-JK sponsors!

Dayton put it well.
2 clicks up on the ebrake = pull the emergency brake up 2 "notches" (clicking is audible)
LSD = Limited Slip Differential

Get the infinity sound system. One of my favorite parts of the jeep. I got the limited slip on my 4 door jk with 4 wheel drive. I haven't needed to disconnect my sway bar around here. I wouldn't buy something you might not need.
