I left my "change oil" light ding for about 16,000 miles (started around 6500 - now at 22500) until I finally performed this reset tonight.
Door closed, key turned until all the warning lights are lit up on the dash (not sure if this is "ON" or "ACC" as someone mentioned but it is the last stop before cranking it over) as opposed to just the radio and mileage lights, pump 3 times in 3 seconds, turn off.
Started her up and voila, no more ding that I've grown so accustomed to!
