I just swapped-out the Mobile 1 filter for a Motorcraft FL-400S. The silicone ADBV works great, and you certainly can't beat the price.

What does the noise sound like ? Did you send the Mobil filter back........?

mobil 1 oil and puralator pure1 filters for the past 20K miles. no issues with it at all.
