I haven't removed mine. But I have read that it is on there pretty tight. Just take the bolt out of the bottom and find a way to pry it off without damaging anything.

Remove the two bolts (3), separate the mirror (2) from the door (1).

I removed the mirror part first while it was still on the door. It gave me some leverage to wiggle it off. It comes off upwards. You have to first remove the torx screw underneath. Then I took off the bracket connected to the door.

The first time I did this, I took the entire mirror off of the door first then tried to remove the upper mirror part. Man, it was tough to get off. I couldnt get any leverage. I ended up putting it in a vise and wiggling it off with some effort.

Back the bolt out and tap it with a hammer, that will loosen it up
I popped myself in the chin trying to use brute force
