Why not just look at the smaller numbers on the speedo for reference? which should be in KM's.....my Cobra is an american car I imported, and I have the same thing....MPH outside, and small KMs on the inner circle....I dont find it difficult at all, but thats just me...actually once you drive it for a while, you will automatically figure it out....

i am OK with the speedo, of course i look at the km/h the thing is with the odometer... i have to take it in for maintenance every 5000KM so i'm gonna have to convert the miles i have to know when to take it... and when i use the trips to measure distances, i'll have them in miles and gonna have to convert to kms.

its roughly 3100miles to 5000kms.....just have them write the little service reminder decal in increments of 3000, instead of 5000.....it doesnt need to be exact anyway....approximate is fine....

Get yourself a GPS unit that sticks on the dash or windshield. Most of them will show you speed, trip etc

Yeah, here's a pic of my km/h speedo. I've got the fuel usage display set to MPG but the odo & tripmeter numbers on the RPM dial are still in kms, not miles. Apparantly the reason (where I am anyway) why they must be set in the primary scale of the speedometer is so people can't be scammed into buying a car with more miles than they thought on it.

If say the JKs odo numbers could be switched between miles and kms then if you had 100,000 kilometers on the odo you could switch it to miles and it would read 64000. But since it doesn't say miles or kms after the numbers, if the buyer wasn't aware of the switching feature, then he/she would pay more thinking they were buying a low mileage car with only 60K kms on it, not 100K kms.

Yeah, if it was really an issue you could fit an instrument panel with the km/h speedo (they show up on e-bay occasionally, presumably from Americans who've bought a Canadian Jeep or got one while stationed overseas in the military & then converted it to a MPH speedo panel in the 'States) & then get the PCM re-flashed. One of those nav units is probably the easiest option though...
