Default Maple Syrup smell when heat is on (Help Please)

Not sure if this is where to post this or not.

As the title says my heat smells like Maple syrup. (now wonder my kids were hungry on the ride home last night)

Does this mean that I have a leaking heater core? I checked my coolant and it does not look low but then again the smell just started last night.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yup, that sweet smell is coolant.
It doesn't take much of a leak for the odor to waft.

I'm hungry now too!.....seriously, I've got an August 07' and have never smelled this. Sounds like a definite trip, if not call, to the dealer.
