Default Lube points for the JK

I have read the thread about the steering lube points and I think I can find them all but is there other points on the body/suspension that need to be lubed with either grease or some other lubricant?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated as I have purchased the needle for the grease gun and plan to use it tomorrow.

well a couple of areas on the body of the jeep would be the hinges to help keep the pin inside from rusting.

And the 12 windshield bolts 6 on each side. Behind the bolts I notice it started to rust, so I removed each bolt one at a time and cleaned up the small trace of rust and sprayed alot of rust lubricant and the bolt and reinstalled each bolt. And I respray when needed.

I have not seen any rust signs on my windshield bolts but I have noticed that the paint on them was chipped when I purchased the vehicle. I will check those when I am lubing.

The bolts themselves don't rust but behind them on the painted surface is where it rusts.

Another thing people often don't lubricate is the zippers on the soft top. It'll make a big difference if you don't lubricate them after awhile -- at least that was the experience on my TJ.

Does anyone think that the suspension might need to be lubricated?

The Owner's Manual has a lot of good information on what to lubricate.

I'd like to see a "lubricate here" chart showing all of the Zerk fittings. Does anyone have a chart of all of the fittings on the JK? Would be nice to know where to look instead of hunting them down. Seems like I always miss one.

Just had the oil and filter changed. The mechanic and I looked it over and couldn't find any zerk fittings.

I recommend lubing the engine every few thousand miles...

Do the body mounts need lubing?

The jeep is sealed now. There are no fitting unless your aftermarket parts (sway bar links) come with some.
