Default Low tire pressure indicator..

So quick question with out running around to each tire and checking the pressure.. does that warning let you know which tire by any chance? I highly doubt it.. but thought i would ask...

Also.. I have nitrogen filled tires.. can i just fill the low one with regular air? Doesn't make a difference right? I feel so dumb asking that lol

No, it doesn't tell you which tire. It would be nice if it did. Just remember that it could be the spare too. And yes, you can fill it with regular air. The air your breathing right now is seventy something % nitrogen. This whole nitrogen filled tires is overrated IMO.

I dont understand the spare thing.. I was driving along the freeway the other day.. got a low tire warning, and yep.. a flat.. left rear....

so I stopped, put the spare on, put the flat tire on my spare rack.. and the TPMS cleared out.. I drove around for a couple days this way until I had the spare repaired with no TPMS warnings.. but i know the TPMS sensor for that wheel is good because it went crazy as the tire started to deflate while moving...

will the TPMS deactivate once a tire is completely flat?

Did you get a new tire or just have the damaged one repaired on the rim. I imagine the sensor could have been damaged from driving with a completely flat tire? But that is just a guess.

When I got mine, the dealer made such a big deal that the tires were filled with Nitrogen.
I told him that after they were deflated several times off roading, the Nitrogen wouldnt matter.
Just gave me a deer in the headlight look and walked off.

This seems to be a non ending issue, but again, the TPMS sensors do utilize all the wheels and tires, not just those on the ground. So when your having TPMS issues, and cannot see anything visually wrong with your tires, look at your spare. It can set off the sensors.

X2 Agreed.

I got tired of the whole TPMS nonsense. I bought a AEV Pro-cal Tool. I shut down the entire tpms system. I check my pressures with a quality guage weekly, just like I did before the stupid TPMS ever existed. Worked great, one time setup, light is gone. I know some folks like it, but in my case in was more of a annoyance. In some states if the tpms light is on during inspection, you could possibly fail, depends on your state.

My 2 cents 4 free...lol

Default another "great" thing about TPMS

had a sensor go bad, $85.00 to get it replaced at discount tire. didn't even bother to find out what the stealership wanted. Just love it that the government doesn't think we're smart enough to check the air pressure in our tires.
