I've never used that crap, and never will. I always assumed they didn't do anything. This just helps my decision even more.

Yeah, most people believe more octane=more power or better fuel economy. What they don't realize is that spark advance or changing the spark "curve" is what adds the power; and for that you have to run the higher octane.
