I'm VERY happy no one was hurt, well... except maybe a little pride.

This could certainly have been a LOT worse.

Count your blessings... and remember, something like this could really happen to anyone.

Good luck, I hope you find an inexpensive replacement panel.

I sure can see how easily that can happen. Reminds me of a story (not Jeep related) of someone who was a student of mine when I taught guitar lessons. She put her expensive guitar on top of her car while she ran back inside to get something. She backed out of her driveway to come to her lesson..............you guessed it. The guitar slid off the roof onto the driveway and she backed over it. One never knows when they will be the next victim of Murphy's Law.

I went back on the access road next to the highway, but it was in about a million pieces. Luckily, it didn't hit anything, but it cost me $600 for a replacement set of tops.
Same thing happened to me in a Camaro at about 70mph!!! The driver's side t-top flew off, way higher than I'd ever thought possible. I went back to find it, expecting to recover the frame, so that I could at least use it to hold up some plexi or plastic wrap. I found that sucker stuck in the soft grass/mud in the median!! It was stuck in by one corner, standing straight up, COMPLETELY UNHARMED! I wiped the mud off and put it back on..

:Note to self: Make sure you latch the panels when you get your JK, this is definitely something you would do!

Things to do:

1 - Quick release roof panel for ejector seat (Done)
2 - Ejector seat (do not test until step 3)
3 - Parachute for ejector seat
