It's a bridge between a Sport and a Rubicon. Think of it as a Sport with some Rubi hardware. There was also an Islander offered alongside the Mountain which, if memory serves me correctly, bridged the Sport and Sahara models. Jeep created the Mountain and Islander editions to fill price points in the Wrangler lineup. For 2012 there is an Arctic edition.
