Default long cold start up

This issue started about 2-3 weeks ago and is slowly getting worse. When I start my jeep for the first time in more then maybe 5 hours, it will take a long time to crank over. I've tried replacing the spark plugs and wires, cleaning the throttle body, and changing gas stations. I have a 2009 2 door wrangler only mods are lift kit tires and drop in k n air filter. I do still have extended warranty but I'm just cheap and like to do it myself. Thanks

Just wondering - perhaps fuel pump not getting fuel to engine fast enough?

I havnt tested that yet. That's what I was kinda thinking, almost like the fuel lines drain back into the gas tank.

Stock battery?

Check the grounds?

Clean the air filter? Or try starting with it removed.

I was editing to add the air filter question.

After taking off the battery terms and cleaning -- A quick battery test without any tools/meters is to use some jumper cables to another battery. If it solves the problem it's almost certainly the battery.

The ground terminal had a little bit of stuff on it and all the connections looked and felt tight. I'll get the battery tested tomorrow.

it wouldnt be the battery unless the starter isnt even spinning the engine.. is the engine spinning but just not firing? or do you just get a click.. then silence / long wait till the starter engages?

sounds exactly like either a slowly dying fuel pump, or as others have suggested fuel is draining out of the lines causing slow to start condition.

The engine is spinning. Everything sounds normal, it just takes longer then normal to start up
