Why should it be just certain 2007 and 2008 jeeps. My 2007 Sahara with a build date of 10-06 does it every time I fill up also..

Does anyone know if this transfers to the second owner or is it just the original owner. I bought my 2007 used?

No letter either and I called twice to the Jeep customer care line and both times I was told I am not included in the extended warranty. I then wrote to Chrysler and asked why my vehicle is not included, wonder what the answer will be as to why. Can't uncerstand how they determined that a certain number of Jeeps have the problem and the rest of us who have or have had the spillage problem are not included. Seems like if the vehicle is spilling gasolone there is a problem and certain build dates have nothing to do with it.. Oh well, will see who I have to contact next..

No letter for me, yet. It spills every time I fill up, unless I "burp" it halfway through and stop it manually.

A sound reason that this could happen is because they changed the design or supplier for the failure part. They could set a hard date for that. But, then, since at least a few folks are having it with the earlier months, that doesn't sound like the case. So, who knows? Maybe not enough of the early owners reported the problem on the NHTSA website. If you are not covered by this TSB/extended warranty and have the problem, definitely report it on NHSTA.

My 11/2006 built JK has never had the problem... 55k miles.
Seems like they are grasping for root cause and haven't found it yet... kinda like Toyoda.
