Lifespan of Stock Rubi Tires
I still have the stock 255/75/17's on my Rubi with 44,000+ miles. They have good tread but are starting to pick up a screw/nail here and there. Does anyone know how long these things will last before I absolutely have to replace them?

I was at about 50k before I traded mine in for my 33.5's. But they did still have a decent amount of tread on them, so I"m sure they could have gone even longer than that.

what are you guys considering a "decent amount" of tread? I've got 11/32" left at 38'000 miles and I don't consider that to be much left at all. I'm really hoping to get through this winter with them and get some new Dura's in the spring.

I started a thread about this back in August. Here's where mine were at then. I came across a good deal on some wheels and tires so I pulled the stockers with 31k on them and there is plenty of tread left.
I was just wondering how many miles people were getting out of the stock KM's that come on the Rubicons? I have an 07 2dr and it now has 30,000 miles on it. I measured the tread depth on the spare (with zero miles) with a digital caliper and it measured .590 and then I measured my tires with 30,000 miles on them and they are only showing .125 (1/8") of wear.
I'm not really complaining about the life of the tires (or maybe I am). I just hate to get new tires before these wear out and was wondering how long I'll have to wait. For what it's worth, most of my driving is a mixture of in town to semi-curvy highways. I don't do a lot of interstate driving with it or don't chew them up on rocks. It just seems at this rate I'll have 60k on them before they are toast.
So, for those of you that run them until they are toast, how many miles did you get on the set? Also, post if it's a 2dr or 4dr since weight matters.

I think that that is the point at which a lot of tire manufacturers say to start looking at replacing them. (But then again, that's also like "recommended maintenance schedules" on a lot of vehicles - where they benefit by you purchasing their product/service, so take it with a grain of salt.)
