I have one of those Rock Hard license plate brackets like WOL, and I have to say I think the wiring that came with it is poorly designed. I had to entirely rewire it to get it to work right for me.

That being said, other than that, it is a great thing to have. It has holes drilled to allow for a padlock. This is good because it has a quick disconnect so you can easily remove it for a tire change, or to go incognito on the trail. I'll never have to worry about that damn rock sticking out on the fourth switchback on Black Bear Pass. (Okay, I won't have to worry about it as much.) And while I swore I wouldn't ever buy anything for the Jeep just to earn style points, sometimes it just works out that way. Those LED's are plain cool! Also thanks to BLKRUBI, that hole left by the removal of the stock bracket is taken care of.

So.... what did you do to cover up that gaping hole left by the bracket?

Go to your favorite dealer and ask them to order you a 55397112AA rear fascia plug. If he asks where you got the number, tell him you got it from a Honda dealer. (Thanks BLKRUBI) This is the plug for the European models that have those huge license plates running across their rear bumper.

No problem, but thank BLACKRUBI as well. My parts guy would've never found it. BTW, Fla swamp mud treatment? Sounds like fun.

I just ordered the plate relocation bracket and the light bracket. Do you have any details as to how you wired it, or am I gonna have to find my multi-meter?

I smacked my license plate holder this weekend and I have a stock bumper...leaning trees and being sideways on a hill will do it if you hit it just right...

I've ordered the plate and will be doing the wayoflife's relocation writeup...
